In giving effect to the document of development and reform of high-tech (2013) No.2064 of National Development and Reform Commission, the laboratory of quality control technologies and instruments of seafood processing, which is jointlyapplied by Ocean Family’s subsidiaries such as North Supreme, Fengsheng, Today and etc. and China Jiliang University, gets the approval to be the national and local joint engineering laboratory. At 2011, this lab got the approval to be the engineering laboratory of Zhejiang province[in accordance with development and reform of high-tech (2011) No.1251 of Zhejiang Development and Reform Commission]. And in 2013, it becomes one of five approved national and local joint engineering laboratoriesin Zhejiang province.

   Zhejiang province is a strong province of seafood industry in China and also the planning and demonstrating area of China’s emerging marine strategy. The national and local joint engineering laboratory of quality control technologies and instruments of seafood processing will, through achieving breakthroughs and applications on key technologies such as rapid detection technologies of main chemical contaminants in seafood products, detection technologies of microorganism in seafood products and technologies and standardization of traceability and quality improvement of high-end products and etc., construct the technology platform of quality assurance and high-end product creation of seafood products and carry out technology research and demonstrating applications of quality assurance and high-end product creation of seafood products, to ensure seafood quality and safety and increase competitiveness and added-values of seafood of Zhejiang province, and to provide relevant technological achievements and technological services to the seafood industry of Zhejiang province even the whole country, having the vital significance for promoting the implementation of marine strategy of Zhejiang province.

   The approval and construction of this engineering laboratory indicates the recognition for Ocean Family’s scientific research works in the field of quality control technologies of seafood processing. And this will facilitate Ocean Family’s development and quality control technologies of seafood to move up to a new level.
