On 23rd November 2018, as the representative enterprise of the Zhoushan National Base of Distant Water Fisheries, ocean family participates in 2018 Zhejiang Agriculture Expo.
Since the upgrade to the National Base of Distant Water Fisheries in 2015, distant water fisheries in Zhoushan entered into a brand new stage of development: catching volume and efficiency improves year by year, deep-processing industry continuously develops, and added-values of the industry increase constantly. The base is steadily moving forward to the designed target.
As the representative enterprise of the Zhoushan National Base of Distant Water Fisheries, Ocean Family demonstrates diversified products in the Agriculture Expo: distant water fisheries products are mainstream product categories, including super-frozen tuna, purse seining tuna, Argentina squid, Argentina red shrimp, and etc.; the forms of products contain the raw fishes, primary processing products, and deep-processing products, covering B type and C type consumer groups and fully showing the advantage of Ocean Family’s full-industry chain development.
During the opening ceremony, with the grand introduction from Mr. Lindewei, the vice secretary-general of Zhoushan municipal government, a large tuna, with the weight of 51Kgs and the length of 1.3m, becomes the focus of the Expo. This fish is shipped by air from Kiribati to Hangzhou by Ocean Family. After the demonstration, the fish is made into sashimi products, becoming the delicacy which is chased by the audience.
Ocean Family’s tuna products are far beyond above mentioned products. The company also has abundant deep-processing products. The canned tuna series products is one arm of Ocean Family’s key products, exporting to Europe and America markets year by year, and winning high recognition for its quality. In the selection of quality products of 2018 Zhejiang Agriculture Expo, Ocean Family’s canned tuna series products win the gold award.
