Ocean Family’s general fisheries department taps more than 130 pieces accessories from old vessels
After going through more than 30 years, Xinshiji 68 and Xinshiji 69, the two old fishing vessels of Ocean Family’s large-scale super-frozen tuna fishing fleet, will end the life circle quickly. Under the comprehensive arrangement from the company, the general fisheries department makes the plan in advance, before vessels are dissected for disposure, and disassembles more than 130 pieces useable accessories from old vessels.
From 8th January to 14th March, when Xinshiji 69 berthed the wharf, the general fisheries department organized people to tap usable accessories on the vessel. Within more than 2 months, they totally disassembled 64 pieces equipment, including 39 pieces voyage instruments, and other key equipment such as 25 pieces diesel engines and etc. From 27th March to 13th April, it took 17 days to progress the dissection work for Xinshiji 68, totally disassembling 69 pieces accessories including 39 pieces voyage instruments, and other key equipment such as 30 pieces diesel engines and etc. The backup equipment, usable deck materials and all kinds of oils and refrigerants are almost retained.
While updating the current fishing fleet, Ocean Family also pays lots of attention to sufficiently utilize old vessels. This time, the processes of ending life circle of old vessels retain more than 100 pieces usable equipment. Through maintenance and repairmen, such equipment will be used as backup accessories for the in-service fishing vessels to shine the new value.
