According to the report of Zhejiang Daily of 29^th August: on the afternoon of 28^th August in Norway, during the ceremony of signing cooperation agreements between Zhoushan and Nord-Norge, Zhejiang Ocean Family, the biggest ocean fishery enterprise in Zhejiang province, signs the agreement of the operation right of sales of salmon in China and trade cooperation with Cermaq Group AS, the second biggest salmon enterprise in Norway, annually importing 10 thousand tons salmon. This cooperation is one of outcomes of strengthening the economic and trade cooperation between Zhejiang and Norway.

“We will utilize the delivery method of air shipment, and let Chinese consumers to enjoy the real deal of Norway salmon”, Mr. Zengyuexiang, the general manager of Ocean Family, who is also at the site of the ceremony of signing agreements, is very excited to tell the reporter.

For food connoisseurs, salmon is not so unfamiliar. And Norway salmon, which occupies more than half market share of global export volume, attracts Chinese consumers’ preference by its great flesh and delicious taste. The reporter gets the information from relevant departments: in recently years, the import business of Norway salmon was suspended, because of multiple factors such as the unstable sizes of fish goods, high logistics cost and etc.

“This time, the first batch of imported Norway salmon to Chinese market is handled by us. The goods will arrive in Hangzhou at 29^th August”, Mr. Zengyuexiang tells the reporter, “the first batch of salmon was harvested at Friday of last week, immediately shipped by air after processing; and will arrive in Hangzhou airport at 29^th August after air flying of 48 hours; and the freshness of fish will be great! In the future, we will deliver fresh salmon by air 3 times per week from Norway to Hangzhou.” This time, the re-imported Norway salmon, which is the star product in seafood industry, will bring new welfare to Zhejiang consumers. The economic and trade cooperation between Zhejiang and Norway will also be enhanced in the future.
