On 13th July, Ocean Family officially launches the construction of 2 large-scale super frozen tuna fishing vessels. In the future, these 2 fishing vessels will operate at the south and north high latitude tuna fishing fields of the Pacific Ocean, making the history for Chinese tuna fishing industry.
During recent years, aiming to respond to the national vision, which is to transform China from a big ocean fishery country to a strong ocean fishery country, and our provincial strategy, which is to make the ocean fishery industry bigger and stronger, Ocean Family has rolled out the upgrade of fishing vessels, in line with the international trend, partially completing the upgrade of large-scale tuna purse seining fishing vessels and large-scale squid fishing vessels, and greatly increasing the equipment standard of fishing vessels and the fishing efficiency.
Pursuing to further make ocean fishery, the core business of the company, bigger and stronger, and build up the world-class fishing fleet, with the most advanced facilities and most optimized efficiency, in the country, the company takes the window opportunity, when the company lands in Zhoushan National Ocean Fishery Base, starts again upgrade and new-construction projects which include large-scale super frozen tuna fishing vessels and large-scale squid fishing vessels and etc., with the planned investment of more than 1 billion RMB.
It’s said: the construction of first 2 large-scale super frozen tuna fishing vessels will be contracted to Zhoushan Hetai Shipbuilding and Repair Co., Ltd. These 2 vessels will be planned to be completed the construction and put into operation at July 2018, with 830 MT gross tonnage and 1176 KW main engine power, and being the highest standard of super frozen fishing vessel in the world; the construction of large-scale Argentina squid fishing vessels will also be carried out at end of July this year.
The upgraded and new-constructed fishing vessels will give new power for the company’s development, create new economic benefits, and further drive the development of the ocean fishery of our province.
