On May 12th, Mrs. Truong Thi Le Khanh, the chairman of Vietnamese Vinh Hoan Corporation, which is the biggest basa producer in the world, Mr. Takeshi Maruyama, the responsible person of the marine products department of Mitsubishi Corporation, and other people visit Ocean Family again and have the communication with Mr. Zengyuexiang, the general manager of Ocean Family, and other members of the company’s management team, about the launch of the basa business corporation and the development of Chinese market. Both sides preliminarily confirm the strategic corporation relationship and clearly make the principles of marketing of basa in he Chinese market. In the future, Ocean Family will import all kind of basa products from VH Corporation, based on the strict requirement on quality and through formal trading channel, to supply the Chinese market.
Vietnam is the largest basa production place in the world. Vietnamese basa is recognized to be the typical food material which is ecological, healthy, and safe. In 2015, Vietnam produced 1.15 million metric tons basa, which is 52% of the whole global production volume. Vietnamese Vinh Hoan Corporation (Yonghuan Corporation) is the biggest basa producer in the world, and also the first basa producer which got ASC (Aquaculture Stewardship Council) certification in the world. The company comprehensively integrates functions such as hatching, breeding, processing and exporting in one, having the aquaculture base which covers the area of 520 hectares. In 2016, the company’s daily processing capability of raw basa has reached 850 metric tons.
